Indian Ladies Masters, the country’s first European Tour event for women golfers, was shot down before it could take off with the organizers blaming it on economic meltdown. “The tournament has been suspended for now due to the current financial climate and economic meltdown which has gripped most world economies”, said Golf in Dubai, promoters of the tournament, in a statement. The euro 200,000 event was scheduled to take place at the Eagleton golf resort in Bangalore, from December 4th to 7th this year.
